I wear glasses but I’ve taken pictures and have looked at myself in the mirror without them, but when I put in contacts my blue eyes just look lighter and more noticeable. Is there a reason for this?|||because with contacts u dont have glasses covering ur face and maybe your contacts change the color of ur eyes a little

I want to buy blue contacts and I have black eyes, will it look good?
ALSO, the BC and DIA are lower than my prescription. I have astigmatism in my left eye, but my prescription stays the same. My prescription for BC is 8.60 and my DIA is 14.5 for both eyes. For the contacts I want to buy, the BC is 8.3 and the DIA is 14.0. Will this cause any MAJOR difference in my vision? With my current contacts, they are ok. I can see very clear, but they don’t beat my glasses. I think it’s because I’m still adjusting to them(it’s been a few months) or because my eyes are changing as I’m growing up.
But back to the beginning question: will it look good? These are pretty dark blue eyes. They are named Sapphire Blue by Acuvue 2 Color Opaques. I have black eyes, and personally, I don’t think they will look good. Will it look good and will it effect my vision? PLEASE HELP!|||First of all, a contact lens prescription contains the exact brand, manufacturer, power, BC and DIA of lens.Contact lenses are considered medical devices and controlled by the FDA.It is illegal for anyone to sell you lenses other than what is written on the prescription. In other words, unless you are a licensed eye doctor, you are not allowed to change your prescription. This is considered practicing medicine without a license.
Secondly, the BC is specific to a particular brand of lens. That means that the BC has no meaning at all when you change from one brand of contact to another. It is impossible to know what the new base curve should be without properly trialing the new contact lens.Within a brand, the diameter of the lens changes the "vault" of the lens and therefore a complicated nomogram exists to determine how the BC would need to change.Basically a larger diameter will need a larger radius (bigger BC) to have the same "vault".
Lastly, it sounds as if your prescription has astigmatism in it.The Acuvue 2 lens series does not contain astigmatism, so there is no way to get the right prescription.Depending on the exact numbers on the prescription, the vision may be unacceptable.Normally a doctor would give you a trial without astigmatism to see if the vision was acceptable.

My right eye has been twitching really bad lately and I’ve done some research on why it occurs, but I was just wondering how noticeable it is.|||I have looked in the mirror before when my eye twitched and I could see it twitching, so I would think others could see it also. But they probably wouldn’t even be paying enough attention to it to notice it.|||Well, it could mean that your eyes are tired or just under a lot of stress.
